Storage Device LEDs
Storage device LEDs indicate the status of the device. The hard disks in the
storage subsystem has three LEDs that are channeled from the drive to the
front of the carrier with fiber optic light pipes. The LEDs display activity,
power, and fault. Figure 1-14 shows the LEDs and their positions on the drive
carrier and Table 1-9 explains the status of each. The combination CD-
ROM/FDD shown in Figure 1-15 provides activity LEDs.
