Determining wh
ether a component is hot-pluggable
Before removin
g any serviceable part, determine whether the part is hot-pluggable or non-hot-pluggable.
If the component is hot-pluggable, a power shutdown of the device is not required for replacement
of the part.
If the component is not hot-pluggable, the device must be powered down.
CAUTION:
Be sure the rep
lacement is available before removing a component or blanking panel from the chassis.
